The Artists

You may have already guessed that I have a love of art and nature.

My parents encouraged these interests, and also reading, another life long interest.

I intend to refer, and give links where possible, to various sources of inspiration.

This will include artists, musicians, writers, and others!

This page is dedicated to the artists who have moved me most.

There are no pictures on this page because I do not want any copyright problems.

If anyone knows of any easy and free way of obtaining permission to use

pictures by famous artsts, please let me know...

Without any doubt, the artist who has the most impact on me, (and possibly on the whole world?),

is Salvador Dali.

A consumate artist, superbly skilled both technically and with visionary and challenging ideas.

I've found a brilliant Dali site, masses of pictures, information, stunning Dali screensavers

(massive & take ages to download, but if you like Dali, well worth it),

and here's a link to it:

The best Dali site on the net!

The font is called "Dali", and is also available from this site.

Although much of Dali's work is visually strange and even disturbing, he was technically brilliant, and as capable

as any of the acknowledged masters.

Equally talented technically, and sometimes just as intriguing, is M.C.Escher.

Escher's work is like a blend between drawing and draughtsmanship.

He specialised in "impossible geometries", and some examples of his work can be seen at:

Ever seen the stairs that go up forever?

I very much recommend a visit to both these sites.

More links to be added in due course.
