Faces in the Rocks
The pictures in this collection were taken by both Bev & I, in and around Tintagel in Cornwall. Tintagel is the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. It is certainly a lovely and mystical place, and it is easy to believe that Merlin wielded his magic here. All of these pictures contain faces in the rocks. These faces are easier to see if you go to the full size versions by clicking on the picture you want to see.
Overground.

Magic Rocks. I see a dragon here, just right of the cave, and a gargoyle with really long teeth on the extreme right, looking right. | Merlin. This just has to be Merlin! The face in the middle of the rock is so clear. For an idea of scale, check out the size of the seagulls. |
Underground.

There is supposed to be the face of a beautiful woman here, but all I can see is a bearded old man! |
The right way up! The same picture is repeated below in different orientations to make it easier to see the faces. |

Turned left. I've only uploaded one version of this. If you want to see different orientations you will have to manipulate the image yourself in a graphics application such as Paint, or Paint Shop Pro. | Turned
right. This is the one I have uploaded. Even if you can't see the faces, the subtle colours of these underground rocks are still worth seeing. |
